Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals

REACH regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 has entered into force on 1st June 2007, by substituting most of the existing Regulations and Directives concerning chemical substances. REACH is the acronym for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restrictions of Chemicals and in fact it is an integrated system for the complete regulatory management of chemical substances, including chemicals substances in mixtures and articles.

The pre-registration phase at ECHA (European Chemical Agency, http://echa.europa.eu)  ended on 1st December 2008 and the most demanding phase has just started for the preparation of registration dossiers.
